There are two big release parties happening this weekend. First, Friday night it’s a Dreadful Yawns party. The Yawns will be celebrating the release of their latest cd, Rest, at The Parish Hall with The Very Knees opening… Then on Saturday night it’s a Coffinberry party. God Dam Dogs came out this past Tuesday, and the band will be celebrating its release at The Beachland Tavern with This Moment In Black History, The Lindsay, and Series.

Also on Saturday night, The Grog Shop will be having a drinking party. It’s Cinco de Mayo and for a $2 cover, you get a four band bill with Stereo Workers Union, The New Lou Reeds, The Jack Fords, and TV Eye, $2 Corona’s and $2 Tequilla. Designated drivers are highly recommended…Traveling south to Akron, The Hard Lessons, bring their riff heavy, Motor City Rock ‘N’ Roll to the Lime Spider.

And speaking of cd release parties, how could I forget to mention this one: Bone Thugs-N -Harmony at The House of Blues on Tuesday night.
