Rock ‘N’ Roll never asked to be deconstructed and debated, all it ever wanted was for you to get up, get down, shake, shout and holler. “Gimme Some Motivation” is that kind of track. The kind that hits you on the most primal level. If I were to pick it apart, I’d call it R&B influenced garage, then, I’d try to find the parts that make me wanna holler. It’s not worth my time. It hit me on the first beat, the first scream, “Are You A Believer?”, and the first scattered guitar chord. I gotta shake. I gotta shout.
