Friday night, Wilmington, Delaware duo, The Sky Drops, bring their shoegaze/dream-pop sounds to Bela Dubby in Lakewood. Stoned by Magic and Swell Bean open…Canada’s Frog Eyes lead the bill at The Beachland Tavern with Yeasayer, Low Sun High Noon, and Nicholas Megalis.

Saturday marks the grand opening of a new west side venue, The Davenport, located at 6825 Pearl Road in Parma Heights. The Very Knees will headlining this free event with Tall Pines, State of Ohio, Pet Monster, and Bella Sylva…Cross town at The Grog Shop, Dan Caballero lead the bill with The Library Is On Fire, and DoHM.

With Monday being Memorial Day, Sunday becomes another rock day. Cleveland hard rockers Disengage are at at The Grog Shop with Above This Fire, Rue and Fall Back, and Oxford Collapse play The Beachland Tavern with Centipede E’est and State of Ohio. The Weenie Roast starts at 7 with the rock kicking off at 9.

One more show of note for the week, Primus bassist Les Claypool brings his solo tour to the Cleveland HOB with Two Gallants.

Pitchfork favorites, Deerhunter, bring their experimental psychedelic noise machine to The Grog Shop on July 16th with The Ponys and Jay Reatard.

For all the noise fans out there, Pterodactyl have a July 18the date set for The Beachland Tavern. This one is going to be loud, painful, and awesome.

I’ve got this one down one circled on my planner (by planner I mean a cvs receipt with a bunch of dates scribbled on it), Interpol and Calla July 23rd at HOB Cleveland.
