With the schedule of the B Stage pushed back half an hour, something to do with a church, god, and Rock ‘N’ Roll being the music of the devil, and tempting pious minds, or something like that, Ohio’s own Times New Viking kicked off day three of the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival. This was a band who seemed to really relish the opportunity given to them by the people of Pitchfork. Drummer Adam Elliott introduced each song as a pop song, or a pop song not about drugs (“My Head”), or another song about Ohio (“Devo and Wine”), and the band would follow his gracious lead and kick out another two minute piece of fractured pop goodness like “Teenage Lust!” and “Natural Resources.”
