I don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but…I’ve now heard two tracks from Robert Pollard’s new band, Boston Spaceships, and they’re some of the best tunes he’s done since the end of Guided by Voices. For those of us who have followed Uncle Bob along the countless solo albums and side projects, this may finally be our reward: A straight-up Rock ‘N’ Roll album recalling those carefree, early days of GBV.
