* The Curious Case of the Bandwidth Bandits continues: I wish I could give you more of an update, but I’m still going back and forth with my hosting company. I’ve been assured that the admins are currently looking into this matter and I should hear something shortly. Yesterday, I did some digging around on my own and was able to trace the 300,000+ hits on one mp3 and 1.45 TB of bandwidth usage back to 8 sessions using IE5 and Windows 98 during Saturday and Sunday. I contend this type of usage is humanly impossible. They disagree. Well, if this usage is real, then it had to be malicious or really stupid, or a combination of the two. In the meantime, all mp3 links remain disabled to prevent any further charges. Now, for some music news…

* Cleveland ex-pat Annie Zaleski of St Louis’ Riverfront Times recently interviewed another Cleveland ex-pat, Robert Griffin of Prisonshake on the 15 years in the making Dirty Moons.

* Mystery of Two have a new digital 7″ available. Both the a side (“Gravity”) and the b side (“Strange Town”) are streaming now over at Myspace.

* The Dreadful Yawns have released yet another video from their most excellent album, Take Shape. You can check out the video for “Like Song” on Youtube or at the Yawns’ myspace.

*Moving a little further south, State Bird’s new EP is now available for free through their record label, The Record Machine.

* Lastly, some news down the interstate in Columbus, in the last two days, Donewaiting.com has posted new tracks by Times New Viking and Two Cow Garage. I’d have said something myself, but there’s the whole bandwidth issue going on right now.
