The Jigsaw Entertainment Group, who manages The Jigsaw Saloon, Peabody’s, and The Hi-Fi, and who is now involved with The Agora, is working a no compete clause into their future contracts that would prevent a local band from playing at any unaffiliated local venue 45 days before or after one of their shows.
As someone going by the name wakeupandsmellthecarcass was quick to point out at My Friend Cleveland, “That’s so stupid. Cleveland bands entire career consists of playing bi-weekly shows to no one. It’s for fun. Playing once every 2 months is missing the point.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
