On “The Hope That House Build” Future of the Left’s Andrew Falkous has bigger fish to fry than a studio manager (“Manchasm”), famous Welsh musicians (McLusky’s “Collagen Rock”), and the sad chap who happened to cross him on the street (just about every other Mclusky/FOTL song). This time he has sights set squarely on the massive military industrial complex and global economic markets, and it may be more than even Falkous’ fiery mouth can handle. Its steady drum beat and stacatto shots of guitar, give the song a strict militaristic feel, as if the band is marching in a parade, joined by thousands who have reluctantly accepted the fact that the rich will always get richer and the guns will always be bigger.
