From The Cleveland Plain Dealer, comes news that 92.3 WKRK, Cleveland’s mainstream alternative rock radio station, has rebranded itself as Radio 92.3 and has ditched all their djs with a promise of less talk and more rock.

It’s no secret that terrestrial radio has been struggling mightily this year as more and more listeners have turned to their iPods and the internet for new music as they’ve tired of the tight playlists of corporate radio. Couple this with an economic climate where advertising money has become more and more scarce, and it’s clear that changes are needed. Is all rock and no talk the solution? It’s a start, but they still have work to do on that current Top 10 which includes Apocalyptica, Shinedown, Scott Weiland, and Incubus.
