Picked this up from Greg Kot at the Chicago Tribune: The 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival will kick off with a reunited Jesus Lizard, Yo La Tengo, Built to Spill, and Tortoise, all playing set lists picked by fans who preorder tickets. Also confirmed for the festival taking place July 17th – 19th at Union Park in Chicago, are The National, The Walkmen, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and Vivian Girls. Tickets go on sale March 13th, and like last year, I’ll be there with my photographer, Jeff Sierputowski, to document it all.
