The appeal of Ida Maria’s ode to disrobing is pretty obvious and it hits you the first time you hear that shouted chorus, “I like you so much better when you’re naked.” Oh, we could go on and talk about the obvious Jam-ness of her backing band, and talk about Maria’s smoky, husky, and rude voice, but, let’s be honest here: This song would go nowhere if the chorus was something like, “I like you so much better when you’re not watching sports with your stupid friends,” or, “I like you so much better when you’re paying attention to what I say.” It’s the nakedness.
