With “Hey Una”, the first single from Tyvek’s first full length album, the band display the type of lo-fi, ramshackle punk where any moment in the recording the wheels could come fantastically flying off the whole endeavor. Like the Dead Milkmen years ago, guitars can be out of tune, or the drums can be one beat behind, and it can feel like you’re missing the inside joke, until that moment, whether by fate, or more likely by some feat of hidden musicianship, it all comes together in a blast of unmistakable pop.
