They’re pure ’90s grit. See that shot? The boy-girl duo of Shell on guitar and vox and Shag on drums look like extras from a Breeders’ video shoot. Hear that melody? It’s like any number of melodies you heard during the glory days of alt-rock radio. And the sentiment, hell, it doesn’t get more ’90s than “I’m a resilient bastard” and “I just don’t care.”
