Writing for the Guardian, Susan Greenwood has published a travel article detailing some of our city’s finer rock spots for the music tourist. Included in her profile are the obvious attractions (The Rock Hall and House of Blues), two cornerstones of the Waterloo Arts District (The Beachland and Music Saves) and a couple locations off the beaten path even for us locals (Mitzi’s and Pat’s in the Flats). It’s a very complimentary look at what our city has to offer, especially when you consider our town’s last big piece of print had it being named the most miserable city in the states by a magazine which shall remain nameless.
