As in past years, I’ll be taking I Rock Cleveland on the road to Chicago for the Pitchfork Music Festival. This year, I’ll be joined by the talented Mara Robinson, who will be photographing mega-giga-bytes of action all weekend long. Our tentative schedule has us taking in performances by Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade, LCD Soundsystem, Titus Andronicus, The John Spencer Blues Explosion, and of course, the reunited Pavement. In between those sets, we’ll surely see some of those buzzy bands the kids are buzzing about. Who knows, by the end of the weekend I may be a Sleigh Bells convert.
Now, if you’ve been with me over the past couple years, you already now that I Rock Cleveland provides some of the best coverage of the Pitchfork Music Festival by an outlet not named Pitchfork. For those of you who don’t know, and those who do, check back this weekend for all the sights, sounds, and ridiculously dressed hipsters. I’ll be publishing like this is my only job. And for this upcoming weekend, it is.
