Here’s an event for the Rock ‘N’ Roll veterans in town, as well as those who would like to learn a bit more about Cleveland rock history. Tonight, ex Dead Boy, Cheetah Chrome, is teaming up with Sylvain Sylvain of New York Dolls fame for a show at the Beachland Ballroom with their new band, The Batusis. And prior to the show, Blue Arrow Records will be opening a photo exhibit by Anastasia Pantsios titled, Loud and Snotty: A Photo Survey of ’70s Punk with a Cleveland Slant, at 7:00 in the old Low-Life Gallery spot, next to the store. It’ll feature shots of Northeast, Ohio punk bands like the Dead Boys, Pere Ubu, the Rubber City Rebels, Devo, Tin Huey, Chi Pig, Peter Laughner, and the Pagans, as well as photos from Cleveland appearances by touring punk rockers like the Ramones, the New York Dolls, and the Clash. Mr. Chrome will also be on-hand at the pre-show opening to sign autographs and chat.
