Using tracks like The Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Kill Surf City” as a starting point, NYC’s XRay Eyeballs take surf rock to an even darker, more twisted place. It may not always be in tune, and it may not be the most original use of feedback this decade, but when this groove gets going, it’s hard to imagine a better song to soundtrack your next dance party/blood bath.
