Two classic songs by the classic lineup of Guided by Voices recorded live at the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival. What else do you want me to say? For myself and others who’ve followed the band along on this reunion tour it’s been like Christmas. There’s been excitement, and presents, and we’ve been with friends and family through it all. Our family just happens to drink a lot and slur the words to songs like “Game of Pricks” and “Gold Star for Robot Boy” instead of Christmas standards like “Jingle Bells.” Our family is cool like that.
