Catching the afternoon set by punk supergroup OFF! during this past year’s Pitchfork Music Festival was both the best thing and the worst thing to happen on Saturday. These vets performed with more intensity than acts half their age. Vocalist, Keith Morris, was one of the most engaging personalities of the weekend, too. Between songs he’d take the persona of the older, wiser punk gentleman, giving advice and watching out for the audience. Once first the first hardcore riff hit, however, he was pure rage. The unfortunate part of OFF!’s set was that after that 30 minutes was over, every other band sounded better suited to a smooth jazz radio station that an outdoor music festival.
