Here are a few items of local flavor to get you through your Friday:
* While in Austin for SXSW the Cloud Nothings’ lead man, Dylan Baldi sat down for an interview with Spin to talk the band’s future plans. You can watch it here.
* Flesh ‘N Bone, from the Cleveland hip-hop group, Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, has announced his own strain of medical marijuana.
* During your next stop at Music Saves or This Way Out, be sure to enter the Black Keys raffle sponsored by the Beachland for the benefit of Ken Janssen. Janssen is one of the good guys of our scene and he was recently diagnosed with ALS. For just five dollars, you can provide support to Janssen during his difficult road ahead and win a chance for a backstage meet and greet with the Black Keys when they play Pittsburgh with the Flaming Lips on April 30th.
Also, a crowd-funded campaign is live for a release by one of Janssen’s old band’s, the It Men. While they’ve already hit their 5K goal, that doesn’t mean you can’t contribute. At this point, all proceeds will go directly to Janssen’s medical needs.
* The B-Side lounge under the Grog Shop is getting a makeover into a barcade. Cleveland.com has the details.
