While operating outside of the mainstream festival machine, The Nelsonville Music Festival has quietly put together a solid, four day line-up for their 2013 edition taking place May 30th – June 2nd at the Robbins Crossing historic village on the campus of Hocking College in Nelsonville, OH. Today’s announcement of Cat Power as the Friday night headliner only reinforces the point.
She joins previously, national announced acts such as Wilco, John Prine, Gogol Bordello, Mavis Staples, Sharon Van Etten, Calexico, Jonathan Richman, The Coup, and Reigning Sound, plus Ohio natives Wussy, Jerry DeCicca (Black Swans) and Wesley Bright and the Hi-Lites (Akron).
Weekend passes are now available at the discounted price of $110 (excluding camping fees). Single day tickets are also on sale and range in price from $50-$75. More information can be found at the Nelsonville Music Festival’s home on the world wide web.
